I met Sydney in 2012 at our first Elvis pageant. I had already fallen in love with her mother, Tammy, after many, many conversations via phone.
Sydney had my heart from the moment I met her. She walked into the room and it lit up. Sydney battled Ewings Sarcoma for 3 years, twice during that time. She was the most courageous, classy and graceful young woman I had ever met. She fought a long, hard battle with this beast.
During my time knowing this angel, she taught me so much about life. Tammy and I became very good friends and grew very close over the course of the last few years.
Syd competed with us and held the following Titles:
Miss Fanciful Fright 2012
Miss Beauty in the Barn 2012
Miss Burnin' Love 2013
Miss NE Anniversary 2013
Miss NE Celebration 2013
Miss Smoky Mountain Southern Belle (Dollywood) 2014
Miss Helen 2014
She also won her MAO OT title: Miss Apple Capital and several other titles with other systems including Forestry. She was an avid dancer and excelled in school.
Sydney passed on November 28, 2014, winning her battle with cancer and gaining her heavenly wings. She was 14 years old. She is now wearing her heavenly crown and dancing with the angels.
We will be dedicating each Christmas pageant and each Dollywood pageant to her. Contestant #14 is officially retired. Syd will forever be in our hearts. We will keep her memory alive and honor her family for years to come.
Her passing broke many hearts, but she was able to brighten so many lives during her short time here.
We want everyone to love your children. Be grateful for their health. Be grateful for good friends and family. Cherish your time together and love each other to the fullest.
Natural Elegance and our pageant family will forever love our sweet Syd. We dedicate this page to you, Sydney and hope you are enjoying your time with our Savior.
